Logical Cameras is Hiring a Camera Expert and Content Producer

Logical Increments‘ new camera buying guide, Logical Cameras, is hiring!

At Logical Cameras, our goal is to help photographers and videographers compare the best cameras and lenses available to find the right camera kit for them.

To help us make this a reality, we’re hiring two part-time positions: Camera Expert and Content Producer.

Camera Expert

This role’s primary responsibility is to help ensure that our main table of camera and lens recommendations remains up-to-date and on-point. They’ll also be responsible for answering camera-related questions from readers. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation of camera knowledge, and enjoys keeping up with news about the latest gear.

  • Application Deadline: May 10, 2018 (but we will start assessing applications as they come in and may hire someone before the deadline)
  • Job type: Remote, part-time with flexible hours
  • Hours: 5-10 per week to begin (flexible to your schedule) — room to expand as the site grows
  • Pay: Hourly rate depending on experience
  • Responsibilities:
    • Help keep the main table of camera and lens recommendations (found on our homepage) up to date and making the best recommendations possible. (Requires extremely basic HTML knowledge, or willingness to learn)
    • Keep up on camera hardware news, and monitor prices of recommended gear
    • Answer questions from readers via email and across multiple platforms
  • Required skills/attributes:
    • Good degree of camera and lens knowledge
    • Excellent writing and editing skills
    • Positive and patient attitude
  • Desired-but-not-required skills/attributes:
    • Basic knowledge of HTML
    • Photography and/or videography skills highly desired
    • Willingness to learn basic HTML on the job if you don’t know it
    • Basic Photoshop skills

Content Producer

This role’s primary responsibility is to produce written content for the Logical Cameras blog and main site. This can range from camera and lens comparisons, to longer buying guides for specific types of photography and videography.

  • Application Deadline: May 10, 2018 (but we will start assessing applications as they come in and may hire someone before the deadline)
  • Job type: Remote, part-time with flexible hours
  • Hours: Up to 10 per week to begin (flexible to your schedule) — room to expand as the site grows
  • Pay: $35 for short blog posts; $100+ for longer pieces
  • Responsibilities:
    • Produce written content about cameras for the Logical Cameras blog and main site
    • Help brainstorm new content and strategies for the site as it expands
  • Required skills/attributes:
    • Excellent writing and editing skills
    • Good degree of camera and lens knowledge
    • Self-driven work ethic
  • Desired-but-not-required skills/attributes:
    • Basic knowledge of HTML
    • Willingness to learn basic HTML on the job if you don’t know it
    • Basic Photoshop skills
    • Video production skills
